OUR DOCTORS

Dr. Sarah E. Lewis, O.D.

Dr. Sarah E. Lewis's journey in optometry is marked by a blend of rigorous academic achievement and a profound commitment to patient care. After earning her Bachelor's in Microbiology and Chemistry from Northern Arizona University, she advanced to Johns Hopkins University for a Master's in Biotechnology. Her passion for optometry was reignited, leading her to the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry, where she honed her skills and engaged in humanitarian eye care missions to Nicaragua and Thailand.

Her clinical internships emphasized specialty training in cataracts, dry eyes, diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, and pediatric eye care, culminating in a Doctor of Optometry degree with honors in 2009. Further specializing, Dr. Lewis completed a residency in ocular disease management and primary eye care at the Albuquerque VA Hospital, demonstrating her depth of expertise and dedication to advancing in her field.

As a celebrated Front Range Eye Health Center member since 2013, Dr. Lewis has been recognized as the 2015 Colorado Young Optometrist of the Year. She is also an active contributor to scientific journals and associations. Outside the clinic, she finds joy in life's simple pleasures, spending time with her family and two fur babies, a personal passion that reflects her holistic approach to care and community engagement.

Dr. Ryan Yeung, O.D.

Dr. Ryan Yeung, a proud Texan, embarked on his journey into the world of optometry at Texas A&M University, where he delved into Kinesiology, focusing on Motor Behavior. His academic path led him back to his roots in Houston, where he pursued and earned his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Driven by a commitment to offer outstanding and contemporary patient care, Dr. Yeung's passion for optometry is fueled by the profound impact of improving lives through enhanced vision care.

His tenure at the University of Houston College of Optometry was distinguished by clinical externships at Sharp Eye Consultants and Northeastern State University. Here, Dr. Yeung refined his expertise in managing dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic eye diseases, and the co-management of cataract and refractive surgery patients. Following his graduation, he practiced in Houston, concentrating on specialty contact lenses and ocular disease, further solidifying his reputation as a dedicated eye care professional.

In 2020, Dr. Yeung and his wife embraced a new chapter in Colorado, making Lakewood their home. An active participant in both the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association, he balances his professional life with a love for travel, snowboarding, cheering on Houston sports teams, and exploring eclectic cuisines. Dr. Yeung's holistic approach to life and optometry enriches his practice and the lives of those he serves.

Dr. Anne-Marie Palmer, O.D.

Dr. Anne-Marie Palmer, hailing from Wisconsin, embarked on her journey in optometry with a foundation in biology from Carthage College. Her academic pursuits led her to the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, where she graduated with her doctorate in 2013, equipped with a vision to make a significant impact in eye care. Her education laid the groundwork for a career characterized by a dedication to clinical excellence and a passion for serving communities.

Before her tenure at Front Range Eye Health, Dr. Palmer served the Denver Health Hospital as a staff optometrist, where she focused on treating Denver's underserved populations. This role honed her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to providing compassionate care. Her expertise in pediatric optometry and involvement in medical mission trips to Nicaragua and Jamaica highlights her dedication to reaching patients of all ages and backgrounds with top-tier eye care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Palmer finds joy in cooking, playing the piano, and embracing the beauty of Colorado's foothills through running with her husband. As an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association, she continues contributing to her field while maintaining a balanced life that fuels her passion for optometry. Dr. Palmer's approach to eye care is rooted in a deep commitment to improving lives through enhanced vision and comprehensive patient care.

Dr. Alessandra Roa, O.D., FAAO

Dr. Roa's educational journey began at the University of Iowa, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Physiology, laying the groundwork for her future in optometry. Her pursuit of excellence continued in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she obtained her Doctorate in Optometry and completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care. Her dedication to her field is further evidenced by her achievement of becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a testament to her commitment and expertise.

Her academic time was distinguished by clinical honors, participation in an accelerated clinic program, and induction into the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Roa's passion for community service shone through her active involvement in SVOSH, contributing to international vision mission trips, and her memberships in the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. These experiences have enriched her practice, equipping her with specialized knowledge in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, pediatrics, and urgent care triage and management.

Since moving to Colorado in 2021 with her husband and recently welcoming their baby girl, Dr. Roa has embraced her new home's beauty and community spirit. Her weekends are filled with exploring hiking trails, local coffee shops, and unique dining experiences, reflecting her love for adventure and community engagement. Dr. Roa is driven by a profound passion for helping others and is excited to contribute her skills and compassionate care to the Louisville community, promising a bright future for the vision health of her patients.
